B Is For Build

Is this the orange porsche or the lotus?

If it's the lotus it's terrible but entertaining!

If it's the porsche the roll cage bender is fantastic and hats off to him for posting the plans for it

yea I watch him from time to time.

Sometimes he's impressive and other times you have to question his methods a bit...

I'm no expert so I couldn't really say right or wrong but I do admire his enthusiasm.

Since getting a smart TV I’ve found myself watching more YouTube than Freeview. (were too tight to buy sky).

I like the honesty on B is for build. Chris (I think) doesn’t claim to be a professional, though I’d consider him more professional than most mechanics I’ve met. Also he points out all his mistakes, something you don’t get on shows like Wheeler dealers and Edd China.

It certainly is inspiration for me.

Any other projects like this ( & project Binky) I should look out for?

Not specifically related to build/project videos, but I've been watching Jay Leno's Garage a lot of YT lately. Such a variety of top notch cars and Jay is so passionate and usually knowledgeable. Every few weeks he does either purely technical videos about specific technologies or products, and also updates on all his ongoing projects where he'll walk the viewer around his garage and talk through what's been happening on each of the builds over the last few weeks, which I find interesting as it's often such a broad variety of vehicles and usually much older stuff. I'm also massively envious of the guy - but in a good way - talk about living the dream!

Iv also watched a few of these, found it by mistake but made for good viewing. As you said he does the walk around his garage did you see the Ford Festiva in the background? At first glance I thought it was a 205 but that thing is a weapon.

Yep, seen that episode. Very much a yank take on the old mid engined frenchies. I quite like it.

Tom's Turbo Garage is another great channel, he's don a v8 Mazda mx5, gallant turbo, and I Nissan figaro turbo.

His how too guides are very detailed, he's a little annoying but when you get past that his videos are really good
