Head Bolt Question

Steve@cornwall had very kindly donated me an engine today, it's an early type 1.6 GTI engine with hex type head bolts, the head on this engine is knackered, iv got a later type 1.6 head to go on which had torx type headbolts, can I just fit a new set of torx bolts when I build it up? I don't see any issues with it but thought it was wise to ask before busting something.

you need the washers for them, otherwise no problem
