Strange Starting Problem.

After finally getting my 205 going and running smooth after months of work it has developed a new problem. After cleaning the engine bay everytime i start the car it revs to 3000+ and drops until dying after a few seconds. If i blip the throttle to keep the engine alive it revs through the roof, SAD is working and all that, airflow meter wires are fine usual suspects seem to all be ok.

 

Any ideas?

I had that and it was the bolt on right hand side of manifold, the one oil tower is supposed to attach too (I think-mines bit mangled lol)

I put a bit of ptfe tape on the bolt thread and it's ok-I only found it by accident

What Paul said above! I had exactly the same issue last year. manifold bolt 99% certain.
