Hi drove my car last night home and all was fine. Driving to work this morning gave her a bit of beans n started bouncing at 4k rpm and revs no higher.car revs fine if slow on accelerator but as soon as floor it seems as if limiting at 4k... if disconnect air flow let's it rev but no idle.. recon it's air flow or something else? Cheers Richard

Rev limit like symptoms around 4k rpm are normally ignition amp related, but this does sound potentially AFM related if it's better at light load and when unplugged.

I could have sworn that they normally won't even start with the AFM unplugged though, let alone happily rev-up.

Weird.lol.starts and revs fine disconnected but as soon as let idle cuts out. Only happens when throttle flat to floor. I'll have a squint at the air flow see if can notice anything

What does the tach do? If it is ignition related it will probably jump around a bit. (like in this video

).I had a similar issue at 3k rpm and it was the ignition module.

Could be a lazy fuel pump. Mine started with same symptons then gradually died

New airflow fitted on Sunday. Been running fine now. So get a few more drives before she is tucked away.
