Hi looking for some advise my 309 Goodwood has full magnex exhaust from manifold back the vibration I get through the car is terrible though has anyone had similar problems? and is there any way of sorting this or would I need to change to standard manifold thanks

is the exhaust hitting the body? you do need to use a stiffer lower engine mounting bush with them, though that in itself will introduce some vibration.

Had it on ramp but exhaust isn't hitting anything or touching it's at its worst when's cars idling and you rev it changed a couple of mounts already but no difference not changed bottom one though not sure if previous owner did though as exhaust was on it when I bought it

unlikely you'll make it touch on the ramp, the engine moves a fair bit on the mounts if they're a bit soft.

Would you recommend upgrading all the mounts? It's definitely a exhaust vibration and it's like it's touching body but can't see it touching anywere vibrate whole car though

Sounds like uprated mounts are already fitted, can you see movement when you rock the engine back and forward by pushing/pulling on the engine rocker cover?

If not then it is almost certain that uprated mounts are fitted, most GTi drivers are aware of the need to use uprated mounts with 4 branch manifolds, so high chance this has already been done...

Thats what a was thinking theres wee bit movement in engine but nothing excessive thinking bout trying standard manifold on see if it does anything

I had the same issue with my last 205. The manifold was hitting the body so I changed the bottom mount and problem solved.

The down side however was the increased vibration especially whilst idling

A think ma bottom mounts being changed as mine is really bad on idle aswell did you just live with it or change manifold to standard?

I didn't do many miles in the car at the time so I lived with it.

I would have changed it if I used the car daily though.
