johniban 59 1 Cars Posted August 21, 2016 I've recently got a strong fuel smell inside the car and now when filling up i get the annoying 'blow back' the petrol pump clicks and the fuel wont freely go into the tank like the tank breather is blocked. Ive had my tank off a year or so ago when i stripped the car down, i can't remember the details of the breather set up. is there a way of clearing it out without taking the tank out? don't know if i could take the pump out and get an air line in the tank to blow the breather line out? Caddyshack 3 Posted January 17, 2017 I had this, it was a blocked breather, they fill up with mud. The end sits in the drivers side rear wheel well...easy to clean out and off you go. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
