If mpg isn't your primary concern, BMW 535d, the end.

How about a C220..?

Current S204 doesn't feel as solid as my old S202, but still a very nice place to be.

I think the cc's are only 4 seat unless specced otherwise, unless that's not an issue?

I ran a 335i E92 for a while and considered the 335d tourer... Every car you could ever want but try finding one with all the toys that isn't 150k plus for reasonable money and you'd be lucky

Took me 4 months to find my Merc - the good ones are few and far between, but worth waiting for.

Good luck!

Small point I know, but not all leathered Mercs come with heated seats..

Are you looking for something with brisk pace? Both the above will feel quite lethargic, the 5 has poke but very heavy and merc always seems to have low hp for the cc

If that's not what's it's about then I'm sure both will be comfy Eco cruisers!

Good luck

True that - 0-60 in the mid 8s, but the mid-range is pretty good. The C250 and C320 are significantly quicker though. Mine's a 2009 and has the old 722.6 5-speed auto, which isn't the best but not bad. Flappy paddles and a Sport button which (if fitted) tightens up the suspension and sensitises the throttle for when you want to have a little fun.

Oh, and don't expect >40mpg unless you're a saint or spend all your time on the motorway.

Yep, I agree a well specced e91 335d is very difficult to find, but will be worth it!
