Mi16 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold Gasket

Recommended Posts

yorkshirekowboy

Hello, I'm planning on fitting my 4-2-1 manifold into my 205, just wondering what gaskets people use? I've heard people just to use the standard mi16 gasket but thinking the holes in the gasket are tiny compared to the rectangle holes in the manifold? I've heard also good things about just using loctite 5920 ?

I was thinking to use both the 5920 and the gasket, covering the gasket face on both sides with the 5920 then put on the manifold? Just don't want a leaky manifold.

The manifold bolts and copper nuts, are they still the best to use? Or is there an easier option.

Regards danny

the gasket matches the head, if its a decent gasket and manifold you won't need to bodge it with splodge

Thinking about it yeah of course the gasket matches the head. Silly me. Thanks for your advice.

I never use gaskets now on the exhaust. Just 5920 (Copper Maxx). It's the best thing ever invented for exhaust sealing.
