Is that no radio? Also no Air con - I just presumed they would have it.

Centred map reading light + no sun roof?

The only odd thing I could see at a glance was that both drivers and passengers sun visors are illuminated and have mirrors, unlike UK cars, but I'm guessing it's not that obvious?

Yep it's that obvious.

I'd never seen them before.

I've got a set. Dyed them grey using plasticare because the gentry had light grey/beige headlining and roof plastics. They are a nice little upgrade

Did they have heated mirrors as well?

Yes, Miles you're right, they did have heated mirrors.

There's a couple of other interesting points of note too. The steering wheel has green stitching in place of the usual black.

The weirdest one of all, is that when the drivers door is open, even with the key out of the ignition, the electric windows work!

It was essentially a halo/run out model for the 205GTI, apart from aircon it has some nice additions to it.

Nice looking mag though Simes!

STDT's are like that too, possibly Gentry's as well.

Yep, Gentry's also do that. I'm not sure if it's normal, but mine doesn't do it with key out but door closed - you have to open them with the key out to close the windows (or put the key back in)

I thought the unusual thing was the working coin tray lid. Well, i assume it was working anyway!

Handy thing to have with the windows on the Gentry's along with the mirrors, 405's had the same set up, well the Mi's did from 1991 facelift, The 1FM's must have the same thing surely? bit odd if not when everything else was added on

Miles - did the heated mirrors on your old Gentry work when you had it? They don't now, but I wondered if they had been changed over at some point

Are the illuminated visors a plug and play to the gti with no cutting of wires etc?

You just need a live an earth for each. They are on bullet type connectors as standard iirc. Took mine out and dyed them black and never got around to refitting. Not sure where it gets its earth and live from though, but easy enough to do without the loom. I may refit them at some point!

It must take the power from the interior light I reckon and the wires run along the inside of the head lining
