toolie72 67 1 Cars Posted June 19, 2016 Is it normal for me too sometimes hear fuel pump running away when cars idling, other times I don't hear it-doesn't seem to affect car-maybe its the trained, paranoid 205 ear? Doesn't matter how much fuels in it, electric funeral normally drowns it out tho-showing my age lol
PhilNW 46 Posted August 16, 2016 Maybe a sign the pump is on its way out/low pressure, mine used to sound like this at times turned out to be low pressure and got worse when really hot as the pump was struggling
toolie72 67 1 Cars Posted August 16, 2016 Still playing black sabbath yaaah-pump is now quiet??? I'm going to wait for weather to turn-if I hear it then when temperatures are down then it's getting changed (wife's a lot younger than me and hates my "old shi@e music" as she calls it)
