Wiring Hell In Engine Bay - Help Please!

Recommended Posts

Rather stupidly I neglected to take enough photos of what goes where before teardown. Also, I had hoped to convert to MegaJolt at the same time as doing all of this work, but right now that's a step too far.

All of the obvious / intuitive stuff has been done (right, hopefully), so it's just the hacked about stuff that is causing some headaches. I've tried to look for the necessary numbers, but can find next-to-nothing.

So, can someone please offer some advice on the following;

Firstly, hopefully an easy one - does this look okay..?

Next, my coil is wired up like this, with negative on the left..

The male blue wire (sharing the upper negative pole with the yellow wire) doesn't have a home, but by elimination the most likely candidate is this yellowish female wire coming from the main loom, which exits early in the engine bay along with the gearbox earth..

Would this be right ?

The yellow wire from the coil, I think, joins up with these odd green wires which have a sheathed earth..?

The black and red wires from the coil go to the Ignition Amplifier, but the brown wire doesn't have a home, nor does the black wire exiting the loom along with the gearbox earth and yellowish wire above.

Any ideas on these two?

The sender loom at the back of the engine has a peachy coloured wire which ends in a ring terminal with green heatshrink, but this hasn't got a home either - opinions please!?

Finally (!), near the fan power, there are these two male terminals which I have no idea what they're for - do you..?

Any advice is very much appreciated !!

Thanks

Would it not be much easier to source a replacement loom? Could use that for comparison, fit to your car for running standard set up and convert the one you have? With few exceptions the standard loom plugs.only.fit in one place.

Sorry I can't help with specifics.

The ringlet is for the oil sensor that's fitted at the back of the sump I think.

Perhaps Steve, thanks, but time is against me at the moment - a good idea for a future project though, as I like the idea of getting back some of the 'originality'.
