Opinions On Modified Oil Fill / Breathing Setup For Twin Carbs

Recommended Posts

barneys66

I've tried to cut down on any unnecessary pipework etc during reinstalling, so can I have your opinions on if this is suitable / adequate..?

Power steering reservoir drilled for breather. Just laid out for now - nothing permanent.

Thanks all

The catch tank needs to be as high up as possible, I'd say the breather filter needs a bigger outlet, maybe block that off and use the bottle top as the breather

Look at it differently. TIG a new oil filler cap into the cam cover. Then copy the XU10J4RS set up.

Thanks Calvin - the tank will be mounted to the slam panel and I'll cut the return hose so that it flows straight back if possible. The plan is for the filler to sit under the carbs when not required. Will investigate the breather..

Thanks Peter - I'll look into that for a future project. Need to go with what I've got for now.

Cheers
