Good Derbyshire Garage

Does any one know of a good garage or person (maybe on the forum) who can suggest/help with some work I need doing on my 1.9 gti.

Looking for timing belt ,water pump and oils changes along with other bits a as well...

Any suggestions would be helpful..thanks

If you don't mind travelling a bit then Tom Fenton on here is based in Rotherham and would certainly do a good job, but I'm not sure whether he's doing work for others at the moment or not. Worth asking though.

Speno the other thing is I think is a servo replacement or some kind of a leak... There is a hissing noise when brake is released? ...

Shenpar motorsport of Melbourne are meant to be specialists and had a look over mine when I first got it 4 years ago.

 

The parts you mention could be done by any decent mechanic though. I don't know where about in Derby you are, but I'd recommend Rally Motors of Allestree wholeheartedly.

I'm in mickleover.. So not far away from allestree.... Are you from that way?i know I could take it anywhere but would rather it go to some who has dealt with them before..thanks for the advice

You could try my brother at www.yorkesport.co.uk as it is just down the A50 for you. He lives at Uttoxeter, but his unit is your side of Stoke, 2 mins from the Normacot junction. He has had many 205's and a lot of spares in stock, as you cannot get 205 servos new now.

They've not existed for a while, there is apparently a business in the same location run by a former employee but they don't do 205s any more and didn't want to renew their advert on this site. The advert was linking to their website but it turned into pornography when they went out of business so we were forced to remove it!
