Different Typesfactory Sunroof Glass?

Ok. So I've been meaning to change my factory sliding sunroof glass for a while as it's been etched with a reg that doesn't match my car. Stripped the sunroof off on the weekend, went to fit a spare but it's totally different. The one I removed had metal runners on the side of the glass. The replacement just has some rubber bits on the side. I know the replacement glass came from a ph2 car. That the reason they are different??

No, the phase 2 has the metal runners on the side. Sounds like you have an aftermarket piece of glass.

Hmm, possibly Mei. As the glass itself is identical. I'll investigate later on.

 

Paul, thanks very much. I bought one from speno the other night for a few pennies so all sorted thanks mate. Do need to catch up with you soon for the jig. I'll txt you later!!

 

On another note still sunroof related. There are definitely different revisions of the sunroof trim. Picked a decent set up from speno also and the fixings are different on this later set.
