Where Is The Body-Paint Visible Inside Cabin?

Recommended Posts

As I'm in the progress of repainting and changing color on the sorrento, I need to know where I need to paint with new bodycolor and where I just can leave it white.

I know it's visible under the rear side windows normally, but is it also on the sides in the boot somewhere?

It's would be visible along the inner edge of the boot along the rear panel where the boot lock striker plate sits.

Any gti other than a ph1should have trim around the rear side windows. Top of door frame and leading edge of door will show with door closed but I imagine you'll paint the door inside and out anyway. Also paint is visible between dash and windscreen seal. I'll have a goo look around mine later for any more showing.

Where the tailgate struts attach to the bodywork there is a cut out in the plastic trim so that the ball fixing and about 1 square inch of the body colour around it is visible. On mine I can also see a bit of body colour at one end of the trim at the rear end of the headlining, but I think the trim may be damaged on that end

Aha, doors will be painted inside out.

So then it's actually just the rear at boot striker and around the windscreen rubber.

Just had phase 1 cars before, but then it's not necessary to paint around the rear side windows I suppose.
