Brake Pad Recommendations For 307Hdi Calipers On Front Standard On Rea

Recommended Posts

GTIJulian

Hi all,

I have a 205Gti 1.9 8v 87D with 283mm Brembo discs with Bendix pads on the front, standard discs/pads on the rear (diagonally split system, standard MS).

The rear discs/pads need replacing. I'm interesteed in a worthwhile/reasonable pad upgrade while I'm buying new ones (higher COF presumably) either on the rear only or all round which will maintain braking balance and increase braking efficiency/bite. Grooved drilled discs probably not worth it as heat not a problem. So something which will be reasonably useable on a road car at a decent price point. I've read various brake threads on the forum but found no specific answers. Where's a good place to purchase them? I would also like some decent gripy pedal covers to make heel and toe easier.

Thanks in advance for any replies....

Cheers

Put standard pads and discs on the rear. Don't waste your money over braking the rear. A pair of Brembo rear discs I bought recently are slightly the wrong size in a few places. I won't be buying them again.
