16V Xu Conversions

As gti6 and xsara vts are starting to get a bit thin on the ground, for chopping up for conversions. I've been looking at 1.8 and 2.0 16v Xu engines. I know they haven't got as much punch as the j4rs engine. But lost spec models can be picked up for next to nothing nowadays. My main worry is if I buy a complete running car, how much effort is the wiring look to make up. Obviously the Ecu has to be sent away to be unlocked.

You're not looking in the correct places! Exactly the same effort but for less power!

 

Look a little harder and fit the better engine.
