A work chum has replaced the fluid in his break system and is having problems bleeding them.

Is there something he is missing.

Easiest way to do it is by flushing them ie loads of fluid-has he emptied them then trying to get fluid in? There will be air pockets all over the place-probably need to pressurise system to push air out

It won't bleed but after doing a bit of digging I have found out it has abs.So have suggested to take it for a short drive and stamp on the brakes to bring on the abs to try and get the valves to activate.

What would you do oh sage one.

And

ABS won't stop you from ether pressure bleeding or just pumping the pedal to bleed, but best way with ABS is to do a ABS bleed via diagnostic equipment and a pressure bleeder to supply the fluid, it's the only way on likes of fiestas (last shape and current face lift) and they need it every so often as they develop a poor pedal over time.

Had this with the 306 recently. Used pp2k to activate the abs and bleed the system. Been fine since.

Big thanks to Anthony on that one I was a bit stumped
