Fuel Pressure Regulator With Jenvey Bodies

Recommended Posts

stuRALLYE

Hello everyone,

firstly i'm sorry if this has been covered before, I have searched fairly extensively but I cant find the answers i'm looking for so I hoped you could help me out.

I'm in the process of getting my 205 up and running with jenvey 45 bodies fitted to a xsara vts engine. The throttle body kit I purchased second hand on here came with a FSE power boost valve for use as a fuel pressure regulator. Now I've heard plenty of bad things about these but if I was to get the pressure it was set at checked would it be of use?

Is there an easy way to use the standard capsule reg?

The other question I have is about the vacuum take off on the top of fuel pressure regulator/ FSE pbv. As i have no vacuum take off on my manifold would it be acceptable to T into the pipe running from the vac pump? Or could it be left disconnected?

Thanks in advance!

Stu

Excellent that's the kind of answer I was hoping for! How do I buy one of these housings from colin? Does he have a website?

give him a call, dont think the housing is on his website.

Alternatively if you are using a modified original inlet you can use the standard fuel rail and reg.

ok thank you, I'll give him a call tomorrow and see what he says. I'm using a longmans manifold.

Any thoughts on the vacuum take off on the reg?

I've got a Weber regulator, fixed at 3psi.

Fuel goes in and out, vacuum isn't connected to anything.

I like that housing in the link above, might get one to tidy things up a bit!
