SMOOTH peanut butter-try it I'm not joking

I've got a 1.5 too and it works well-although it is harder work than autoglym etc

My cars my daily driver and used to drive me daft when cheap stuff ran off-body kit would look cack

No I can't remember where I read about peanut butter, no I didn't find it out myself-although I do like peanut butter lol

Put it on with cloth then rub off excess (or local dogs will be licking your car hehe)

Use grey Plasticare first, might need 2 coats to get even coverage. Then use auto finesse revive over the top. Top up the auto finesse revive when you wash the car and it will keep the dye underneath looking like new.

Does a heat gun work on 205 plastics? It worked a treat on a mk2 golf I had.

Thanks for the replies.

I can't find plasticare on searching it looks like the guy is no longer doing it.

If someone can find some please put a link up.

I had forgotten about the heat gun.

From memory it will work on the side plastics but not the bumpers.

Indeed it does! I do it with the trim off the car to avoid bubbling the paint. Use a circular motion to recrystallise the molecules and restore it to new.

The grey trim on my phase 1 appears to have been sprayed black by the previous owner and is now wearing/flaking in spots.

Does anyone have any advice for removing the old paint? Would soda or vapour work?

2-Pugs

Try brake fluid - though try it first on a part that you can easily replace in case it goes horribly wrong.
