V6 Pinout Data

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have the pinout data for the 2 round plugs on a V6 loom, started working my way through with a multi metre and found some but it's stuff like the switch live and rev clock I'm struggling to trace, and any data to confirm what I think is right would be much appreciated

I'm sure I had them somewhere but cannot find them anywhere. I have an ECU pin out if that is any use.

There's a schematic and list of components here (courtesy of M@tt)

Failing that, try sending a PM to 'Ade_4wd' on here as he might well have a pin out.

I'm gonna sound a right simpleton here but I don't understand all the wiring diagrams, the bits I have managed to work out I have done with a multi metre and doing continuity tests from sensors back to the round plug

1c02a and 1c02b are the two 23 pin plugs, pin numbers down the middle, wire numbers each side.

mr is maroon so thats 1c02a, gr is grey so 1c02b.

1320 is a 55pin ecu plug, can't remember which ecu that diagram is for, but wire numbers are specific to functions.

Use the attached file to help with the codes on the wires. (It helps if you have a copy of Autodata as you can trace the wires on the diagram)

This link helps to work out what the codes on the wires mean:

These links helped me:

Only takes about 4 wires to get the V6 running. Main issue I had was getting the two relays to "turn on". It would turn over but not fire, then I managed to get the relays sorted and it fired up first time.
