Radiator Cap Plastic Vs Metal

Recommended Posts

idoari

Hi,

I need to replace my radiator cap but i saw that peugeot replace the original metal one for plastic one.

i have the plastic one but it doesn't sit right on the expension tank the problem is that the metal one is only avaliable after market not (first-line).

What are the difference between the plastic and the metal one? do i better but the metal first line over the genuine plastic one?

the plastic one (part number 1306.85)

there are other plastic caps which are not directly compatible from other vehicles, however if supplied under the o.e part number for a 205, they are the same specification
