Turbo Diesel Bottom Hose

Recommended Posts

Hi

After trying to look on service box and not finding any info, i admit to not being proficient here, could anyone tell me what`s the difference between a turbo diesel bottom hose (the one that connects to the rad) and a normal gti hose, as Baker say they dont do them, and a part number if there is a difference , since i have a TD rad fitted to my 1.6 gti,

the outlet on a turbo rad listed by nissens is 1mm smaller and a different angle.

are you 100% its a TD rad? someone may have fitted a so called diesel rad, which is the same as a gti rad.

Definately bought as a TD radiator and it`s got three cores as opposed to two, I was looking for verification on service box but couldn`t find it, it seems odd to have different but thats pug :)

may be easier to get it back to gti rad and hoses.

though i think gates may still do the bottom hose, i recall they did one you trimmed down to suit.

Yes the TD hose is different, as above the angle is more 45 degrees than straight out the side of the rad, I'd use a universal hose as it's nothing special and the same dia both ends
