K20205 5 Posted April 8, 2016 These are the only pictures i have so far, most are on my old phone. Various radiators test fitted for bonnet and front panel clearance. Ended up using the ep3 radiator because all the hoses fit without fiddling around. The driveshafts angle looking fine. Redesigning the gearbox side mount, made a template and going to construct a solid mount Throttle cable and pedal from a 1997 civic hatch fitted

K20205 5 Posted April 9, 2016 I have managed to source more pictures from my friends mobile, These where taken at the early stages of the build.
K20205 5 Posted April 9, 2016 Replaced the big end bearings on the k20 because mileage is on 167k lol. Standing waiting for its new home IN! But not sp smoothly. Gearbox diff end touching the subframe so i had to grind the subframe to free up some space. Fabricating the gearbox side mount. Heres the result so far, not happy with it may redesign it at a later stage. Using the ep3 clutch cylinder i made it fit the 205s clutch pedal with a few modifications. . . More pictures are coming soon, need to find my old phone and upload to my laptop.
DC2T 51 Posted April 9, 2016 Thats alot to come out of the subframe
DBG 16 Posted April 9, 2016 It may just be the angle of the last pic, but how much clearance is there under the sump?
K20205 5 Posted April 10, 2016 I had no other option, unless i wanted the driveshafts to sit at an angle, This way the engine is perfectly level with the hubs. I have reinforced it with thick metal so i hope it wont affect anything with the driveshaft.
K20205 5 Posted April 10, 2016 It may just be the angle of the last pic, but how much clearance is there under the sump? Now with the new mount setup it has about 10-15cm off the ground clearance.. A k20 ek or eg civic has alot more lower clearance than that. K20 engines are quite long.
DC2T 51 Posted April 10, 2016 seeing this is making me think i should stick with fitting my B18 instead. What engine mounts etc is it youre using for the rubbers?
K20205 5 Posted April 10, 2016 seeing this is making me think i should stick with fitting my B18 instead. What engine mounts etc is it youre using for the rubbers? B18 will be alot easier, but for the gearshift linkage im not sure. The mounts are from ford capri mk1 rear leaf springs, i bought the tube and bush kit from ebay for around 30. DC2T 51 Posted April 10, 2016 ill have to have a think then as ive got both engines, ill have a proper look at some point. K20 is definately the better one but i love the sound of the B18
j_turnell 137 3 Cars Posted April 10, 2016 I do like the idea of a V-tec 205. Are you going for throttle bodies and management?

K20 is definately the better one but i love the sound of the B18 Ill go for the k20, youve got the extra gear plus its easier to tune and gain power out of. I got a b20vtec ek and the crossover is leathal..

petert 586 Posted April 11, 2016 I have a friend who races a N/A Civic. It has a K20 head on a K24 block. The thing is mind blowingly fast for an otherwise standard engine. Search on FB for BYP Racing Budget Honda Civic.
