Misfiring At Idle But Revving Freely

Hi.

 

My 205 GTI-6 had its MOT today's and when it was put on the emission test its hydrocarbons were mega high. At idle and light throttle it misfires, but when revved hard it is fine and stops missing.

 

It's cyclinder's 3 and 4. So I was thinking it might be the fact the jenveys throttle bodies haven't been balanced. My thinking is that being 3 and 4, the only item that influences these alone is the twin throttle body.

 

I am running an omex and tried swapping leads which had the same affect so I have ruled out leads.

 

I just wondered if anybody else has had the same issue of there throttle bodies haven't been balanced at all.
