Auto Bonnet Question...

Hey all, may seem a silly question, but if I bought a cheap auto 205 (the 1.6 one) and decided to take the bonnet for my latest project but rather than scrap the auto, put my old non-bulge bonnet on it, would it fit on it?

 

Is the bulge there for a reason or just extra clearance?

It is there for a reason, clearance

 

If you haven't got a single carbed or spi xu engine, you wont need an "auto" bonnet.

 

Mpi autos had a standard bonnet.

Ah, so if I wanted the bonnet for my GTi, I couldn't fit the flat bonnet to the auto car as it's the carb, correct?
