New Connectors For Loom - And Where From?

Is it possible to buy new connectors for the engine loom (GTI6) - I'm talking about the connectors/plugs (not entirely sure of the correct terminology) that attach the loom to sensors such as TPS, MAP, knock sensor etc. If so any pointers please?

That's great, thanks. What do people do when the locating lugs on the sensors themselves are offset (such as the MAP, I think)? Just file the lugs off, so the plugs will fit? Or is that too much bodge?! What is best practice?

there's a guy in gloucester that does wiring looms, he will have the plugs, Harnessing Solutions is his business name.

 

with the generic replacement plugs in black they will only have the standard keyways, so yes if you are fitting them to a coloured sensor/component you'll need to cut or file off the key.

 

another option is to re-use the plugs from an old loom, you can buy just the pins on their own.,

Re-using the old plugs might be a challenge as they're sealed with that black resin stuff that is a pain to remove.
