Xu5Jp Performance Updates

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I decided to start a new topic about my xantia xu5jp engine modifications. the engine is quite low in performance,i think 89hp. it has a plastic intake manifold with a 43mm solex throttle body and a very lazy camshaft. i plan to make it a little bit faster. i bought from a member here a b6d camshaft(thanks Jon) and i am waiting for a 205gti intake manifold to arrive. i will use the manifold with the iw-052 weber injectors from a 106 1.3 rallye engine and the 106 1.3 rallye 53mm solex throttle body as they share the same tps sensor idle valve and temp sensor and i hope to cope well with my marelli iaw 8p.13 ecu. below are some pictures of the camshaft and the 106 rallye throttle body.

I measured the lift of the camshaft and the results are: inlet:11,2mm and excaust:10,3mm

so the camshaft is not a gti one. but from which engine is it? as you can see in the picture it has 2 brown rings as the d6b one. and also has a chamfer on the lobe edges.

I am a bit confused.

If 11.2/10.3 it's more than likely a DKZ camshaft.
