Dashboard Fixings All Broken, Any Solutions?

Recommended Posts

ladderboy

My dashboard was rattling a lot (I know they all rattle, but this was rattling a LOT!) so I started removing it, only to find that pretty much every area where a fixing screw goes has been broken. Looks like a previous owner must have removed it with as crowbar at some point :-(. Every single eyelet, pillar or hole where a screw goes (sorry, went) has the surrounding plastic broken. I've tried before with superglue or epoxy, and once broken these products rarely work. Plus some of the required bits of plastic broken off are no longer there! (Probably rattling around somewhere else deep in the bulkhead...... ) Short of buying an ENTIRE new dashboard/bulkhead, I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone got any good ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

No suggestions but I know how you feel mine was / is missing loads of screws and fasteners etc that certainly aren't helping the rattling!

Waiting to hear back from Peugeot parts.
