hoodygoodwood 70 3 Cars Posted March 18, 2016 I have been insured with Richard Hosken on my 309 GTI's for years and they have been very helpful and competitive on price . I called them today to check some points before my renewal and to see how they value a vehicle . They told me a normal classic car policy will pay out market value but this is decided by the company after some research ,obviously this could lead to the car being undervalued in the event of a claim . They advised to take pictures of the cars condition and to document any mechanical/body work carried out including keeping receipts and service history etc . An agreed value policy could be taken out but they would need a valuation from an owners club , I have never heard of this before . I got a quote on the modified 309 I am building and it came in about the same as my Goodwood at £160 which is good news .
johniban 59 1 Cars Posted March 20, 2016 I've got agreed value with adrian flux modified car insurance, its was only £30 extra, they wanted quality photos of the car inside and out, receipts and total spend of all restoration items and modifications. pictures of where the vehicle is kept over night. They agreed to a sum of £5000 on mine, was quick and easy and the policy only cost about £350 for me with no noclaims as its a second car
