Down Pipe Identification

Recommended Posts

I wonder if anyone could identify this down pipe, it's not one I've come across before but it's obviously a performance aftermarket one that's quite old.

I've seen a few that are similar to that. I think it was made by Mongoose back in the day, although that's based on hearsay rather than having seen one sold new personally!

Possibly an old style Scorpion 2 port downpipe?

When I bought my retro OMP exhaust off Baz a few years ago I went to collect it and while I was there I spotted a 2 port downpipe, that looked just like the one in your picture, in his unit. When I asked about it, he said it was a Scorpion branded one that was made back in '90's.

It certainly looks the same.

I've got one of these I bought from Speno a few years ago, can't remember who made them and iirc there isn't any branding on it.

I'll have a look when I'm next where it's stored.

Thank you for all the information. I imagine they would offer a descent alternative to a non standard down pipe without the split, maybe even helping torque slightly.
