Gti6 Front Suspension Recommendation

Recommended Posts

j_turnell

Thought I would add my recent findings from changing setups on the front. I was running Konis with 205 Eibachs, the setup wasn't particularly compliant and the wishbon angle was wrong, a combination of the slightly over damped Konis and reduced travel due to the extra weight up front I guess. Anthony mentioned the 206 Eibachs, after doing some reading I thought i would give them a go along with some B4 dampers I had kicking around.

Wishbone angle has improved, they now sit level, suspension travel has obviously now increased and compliance over the bumpy stuff is much better. The ride height has gone up by around 20mm, so from an aesthetic point of view it doesn't look as good but It's much nicer to drive.

It's probably a good option for a stiffer ride, at more standard ride height.

I run -60mm 306 D Turbo springs on mine, with 306 Koni's and the ride is both compliant and not overly damped now, ill get a pic of ride height tomorrow :)
