Pugleyrich 37 1 Cars Posted February 10, 2016 Are those normal phase 1 clocks for a gti? Not seen a set before. Lovely looking car
Leon 24 Posted February 12, 2016 Only very early cars had those clocks, my C reg phase 1 had the normal ones
boldy205 75 Posted February 15, 2016 Nice to see an older model. Those clocks are similar to the XS /Rallye ones with the rather odd needles that are bent upwards at the ends!
speno 239 2 Cars Posted February 15, 2016 nice work ,Quick question for you how come it was first registered in November 86 ? Oh how come you went for black trim too My B plate is dec
erbs 42 1 Cars Posted February 15, 2016 (edited) prefer black tbh............suits the colour of the car, might go back to grey as i have two bottles of grey bumper plasticare if i get bored Edited February 15, 2016 by erbs
speno 239 2 Cars Posted February 15, 2016 I like the darker trim and later dash in black too hence buying a b plate ^^ so what's the deal with it being registered in Nov 86 surly that should be a D reg
Slo 283 1 Cars Posted February 16, 2016 Something else is odd too its registered as a 1600 rather than a 1580 and the mot history has 3 records, one from this month and two from 11 years ago lol. Granted its probably been locked away for those 11 years but when I check my mot history it only goes back to 2010. Anyone know how far back mot details are recorded online? Lovely old car that is I like the black trim, ive gone over my mine with black plasticare too but then ive swapped it all inside to phase 2 interior to match. erbs 42 1 Cars Posted February 16, 2016 looking at the logbook, on the special notes at the bottom it says this. WAS REGISTERED/USED OVERSEAS. DECLARED MANUFACTURED 1985.
speno 239 2 Cars Posted February 16, 2016 Ah right that might explain the side repeaters too . Floor pans are different on the really early ones too I have found . Lots of interesting little things are different it's all a good learning curve
