Exhaust Manifold Question

Recommended Posts

Bobbafett

I'm taking off my Magnex manifold to refit a standard one (and I also then want to refit the original airbox) but I can't remember which holes are used to affix the airbox bracket onto the manifold? Number 5 is a no-go, broken about 10 drill bits trying to drill out the broken bolt but I think it must be made of bloody titanium or something! I managed to tap the other ones ok though.

So, which numbers are used for the airbox bracket? And are any of the others used for anything?

Thanks!

s*it! Better buy some more drill bits then. I do have another manifold coming from a member on here might have more luck with that one.

Nice and slow. Sharp drill. Plenty of cutting oil. But if you've been at it with a blunt drill and got it mega hot it will have gone hard and you may struggle.

Got there in the end. Got through another 10 drill bits though! Managed to get it deep enough, fill it and then tap an M5 which will do the job!
