Oil Pump D6B

Recommended Posts

alternative

Hi again, sorry to kep asking questions. I think I'm nearly there :excl:

I am rebuilding my DFZ in my 1993 CTi to D6B spec. I believe the oil pump gear ratio was lowered around 1991. I am not sure why. Please can anyone tell me if my standard oil pump with 18T crankshaft sprocket and 29T pump sprocket is up to the job?

Or should I try and find a 22T crank sprocket?

Have done several types of search, but cannot seem to find this exact subject.

Thanks as usual for all and any help. :)

Hi again - sorry for the massive type earlier - I really would be grateful if someone could tell me if my DFZ oil pump with 29 teeth on it (not the crankshaft end) is standard.

Once I know that I can work out the gearing I need. Thanks. :)

I'd use a 1.9L Mi16 sprocket as they tend to wear far better than the 26T 2L version. You never hear of low oil pressure at idle on a healthy 1.9L Mi16.

Thank you very much indeed! Am I right in thinking that is 22T ?
