Front Suspension Refurbishment

Recommended Posts

mclephane

Hi everyone, I've not been around for long time, Life has been getting in the way. Just a quick question if anyone can help ? Just about to put my front suspension back together. I have noticed that of the small steel cups that the suspension insert top nut sits in is missing the rubber seal that goes around it. Will this cause any issues if re-fitted like that or Should I replace it? If so does anyway have a name for them or a part number. I guess a photo of it would have been better. Thanks anyway.

I bought some from the dealers about 18 months ago no issues at that time.

Ideally you want to replace it if the rubber is missing/damaged. It will work fine without, but tends to give an annoying rattle/tap noise on bumps as you get metal on metal contact.
