Saxo Vtr Pinking When Hot Under Load Low Rpm

Was going to replace the knock sensor... how easy are they to get to?

Is it just a case of unplug then bolt off bolt on?

Probably easiest from underneath, front if block, 13mm spanner and a. Plug, dead easy

Got it but for a Vts......20NM (or 14.75 ft/lbs) does this sound right for Vtr engine too?

I'm 99% sure it will be the same part so yes

 

I estimated 15nm so 20 sounds good

Poo perhaps slightly better just seems to do it up hills now - i wasn't sure whether to use a washer on it as the old one didn't have 1 maybe I'll take the washer off and try it a bit tighter went for only 15-16 nm with a washer that came with the new 1, perhaps its just carbon build up I know my last Saxo which was a minter used to do it unless regular de coking with BG44k and or premium unleaded must just be a Saxo thing unless I'm overlooking something :-s
