Mlgu Box Fitment

Recommended Posts

Richie-Van-GTi

Ive bought a 2003 2.2hdi relay van to make a motorhome with for pulling the racecar around. The gearbox is an 5 speed MLGU box according to Citroen servicebox. Looking for a compatible 6 speed box. Anyone know much about the MLGU? Images on ebay etc looks like a BE4 with a funny linkage on top.

You might find something in the 807/c8's, as they did use the dw12 in them, not sure if they altered the angle of the engine though, the Fiat engine leans forward if anything in the relay 2, might be its height though, it is a 2.8!

The 6 speed in the relay 3 is bolted to a Ford Puma diesel

yeah Ive been searching servicebox for pug and citroen 6 speeds. Can only find be3 / 4 variants or the later stuff for the puma engine. I am wondering though if I can use my bellhousing on a later puma engine variant. There is a 5 speed on ebay for a 2.2 which lists as 02 through to 2015 2.2 fitting so offers some hope that stuff stayed the same although I am sure the puma is starter rear.

theres a fair few ml 6 speeds bolted to the dw10's in 307's 407's

and the ew12, though very rare.

one thing you may have a problem with is the mounting bolt holes on the middle casing, the boxer/relay ml5 is specific to the van.
