Water/meth Injection?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering what people's thoughts are on this, I'm thinking of fitting it to my 2.0 turbo xu10jt2e

I've seen the aem kit and read a few bits and it seems a worth while mod for the money, lowers intake temps and reduces det.

Does anyone have any experience this this sort of thing.

I think realistically you need to speak to your mapper, as I inderstand this will have a major effect on the engine when it is used. I looked into it a few years ago when I had a supercharged polo. It wasn't straight forward to do

Just found this thread on a search. Anything come of this? Anyone running meth on a S/C setup? Thinking of a meth set up myself.

Cheers!

My mates got a 600+ bhp focus ST and he runs it, said it gave him decent gains but his mapper is sitech in Fife so a decent treck from you. He's spent a fortune with the place on his fwd making it a track car, there's a video on YouTube of it flying past 2 evo's at kncokhill that have been battling it out for a few laps then he goes past like they're stood still

seems maybe the higher the boost level the more gains are to be had. Worth setting up a gauge to monitor inlet temps first.

Good to hear more positive results though thanks.
