Brake Light Switch Same For All Phases?

Mines dodgy and there are various on ebay eg 1984-1987 then 1987-1998 etc

 

Are they actually all the same so any will work on my ph2?

You could take yours out, dismantle it and repair it very simple

I recently bought one of ebay for my phase 2 and was a perfect match, took 5 mins to fit as well.

Just double check if it is actually fudged, my foot brake switch was iffy and all i needed to do was adjust the nuts to ensure the correct height at contact.

Yeah checked that but it's definately duff. Fitting a new one next couple of days, I'm assuming they are the same no matter what year car.
