Contigo 3 Posted January 6, 2016 Hi Guys, Newbie here, well to this forum not to the car World. Thought I would register here to say hello and will be a 205GTi owner from Saturday morning. I have sourced a 1.6 GTi (better balance and prefer the revvier engine than the 1,9 lump) and look forward to collecting her. I also own a MK1 Golf GTi in mint condition so the Pug will join her in the heated Garage! My love of all cars means that this is my 7th car currently in the colection and I look forward to meeting some of you if there are any events in the Berkshire/ Thames Valley area. Anthony 1,003 Posted January 6, 2016 Welcome Sounds like a nice match for the Mk1 Golf given that between them they're arguably the two cars that defined the hot-hatch genre. Good to see another local(ish) member. I used to live just outside Newbury up until a few years ago and at the time there weren't many 205 owners in the area. Marshalls Peugeot has a good parts department btw - Andy down there knows his stuff and is very helpful. Tell him Anthony the 205 rear beam guy sent you. I bought it almost exactly two years ago and I'd love to be able to have it back but It's not possible for the time being so i'm 205-less.
