Same Spark Plugs In 1.6 & 1.9 Gti ?

Can anyone tell me whether the same spark plugs are used for 1.6 and 1.9 GTI engines, please?

No, the 1.9 plugs are a grade colder.

I bought NGK BKR6ES (NGK 3783) for my 205 xs, which uses the same plug as GTI I.9 I think but different from 1.6 GTI. I used NGK partfinder and also the peugeot parts catalog to double check it was the right plug.

 

It was different from the plug recommended by euro car parts etc. Got a box of 10 from opie oils.
