1.6 V 1.9 Shafts And Hubs

Recommended Posts

Tackling the front end of the car at the moment and just wondering if it's worth changing the 1.6 shafts and hubs for 1.9 Jobbies? My shafts are knackered anyway, as are bearings but the hub carriers have zero ovalling. Being a standard 1.6 road car I'm unlikely to be ripping shafts apart with power or from flying over jumps but I'd like to fit a good road set up and want something relatively future proof.

So is there a benefit or best just sticking with my good 1.6 hubs with new shafts and bearings?

Road car, keep it original. Shafts for 1.6's are cheap and common 2nd hand - nobody uses them really so they're somewhat surplus!

The key thing youve said is how the ball joint holes arent oval! I'd be sticking with what you've already got.
