Pugleyrich 37 1 Cars Posted December 29, 2015 Hello, I recall seeing someone on here selling rear quarter badge vinyl repair kits. I need a set to go over my existing worn badges but the letters/numbers must fit in the existing recess. I recently bought a set on the forum which have turned out to be the wrong size. I've been told that people overcome this by sanding their badges or applying to blank badges. I didn't think this was the case and would appreciate it if someone could clarify whether someone is currently selling these in the correct size. rikky 37 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Hi Rich, only just seen this (on Google!), but as I said in previous messages, they will not all be identical. I've got two pairs of 1.9 ones and about 3 sets of 1.6 ones as these were what I used as a base for making mine, and both 1.9 ones are ever so slightly different (being that whatever fits one, doesn't fit the other). You might be best getting either new quarter badges if you can find them or some of the base model blanks to apply them over the top. It's frustrating because I had this ages ago and ended up scanning someones badges in purely to redo the vinyl to fit them, and this didn't work on the next set of badges I also had this issue with the front lion as I made a repair vinyl for it for my own 205. Works perfect on one badge but is about 2mm out (at one edge only) on the other badge! Can't tell you why, I just put it down to production procedures The rear tailgate badges are the only ones that seem the best in terms of being perfect every time, but this doesn't help you! If you want to send me a photo of your existing badge with a rule next to it I'll try and plot another set out at them exact dimensions for you and send you some more? Or, send me your badges and I will scan them in, and make the vinyls fit them perfectly for you and send them back.
