Simes 248 2 Cars Posted December 23, 2015 A great article in my fav. Magazine, the 205 has featured in it a fair bit in the past. It's written by a member on here a well respected journo, he owns a D reg 1.9GTI. Before I read this I thought Andrew Frankel wrote the article, he didn't but It's his car. Back in 1992 he wrote a piece in Autocar about it being a sad day that the 205 was being killed off. Great article anyway, it's normally one of those two who writes the 205 up! nomis 12 Posted December 24, 2015 I managed to track down a copy of this the other week, had been meaning to post it here. It's a good article, well written in that classic glossy car magazine style - and beautifully laid out. Andrew Frankel's car looks fantastic in there (as whisper it does that Golf GTI). It's nice to read a high-end car mag piece on the 205 GTI, as owners we are more used to the Classic Car Weekly end of things (which I do also enjoy). anchorman 1 1 Cars Posted December 30, 2015 I have been the proud owner of John's D-reg example since June. I understand it to be the oldest 1.9 GTI on the road.
