Gti6 Ecu

i have a 306gti6 and i took out the ecu to give my mate a loan of it. he got another one and gave it to me and when i put it in my car the car started. then the next day it wouldnt so my question is if i put the original ecu back in will it work? or have i fooked the transponder?

Seeing as it's previously started then can't see it being the ECU. Unless it's not quite plugged in properly? What happens when you try to start it?

When I try to start the car it just turns over. And there's definitely petrol in it

If this is in a 306 then chances are you've just locked the replacement ECU. I think if you put the original back in it'll work, otherwise you'll need the immobiser related bits from whatever car the new ECU came from.

Just re read your original post, so you have a different ECU. Why not get your old one back to try it?
