Fuel Cap Trim Removal

Recommended Posts

DBG

Hey all,

Just a quick (hopefully simple) question regarding the removal of the fuel cap black plastic trim for paint. How is this done!?

Does it just prise off? I couldn't see any clips. Are they prone to snapping?

Thanks heaps for your advice.

Ben

Possibly should have been clearer, but it's the black plastic trim that surrounds the key on the fuel trim that I'm looking to remove before the respray.

Thanks,

Ben

Both the black bit and coloured section are just clipped in and will pop off with some careful leverage from a flat blade screwdriver. I've not broken any yet, but its always a risk with brittle 25 year old French plastics
