Breaking 309 Gti. What Should I Keep?

Recommended Posts

beach bum

Hi.

I am getting a 5door 309 GTI in order to fix my 205. I need the engine block and possibly the gearbox.

The wheels and rear beam axle are also staying.

What other parts are common and should be put aside?

Amen! Depending on condition and age every part of that 309 has some value! 309 specific parts are getting very hard to get hold of, dash parts, body trims/kits, bumpers etc. Thats all for selling on though not for your 205 obviously!

Is the door hinges on the 309 the same as on the 205? If it is the bolted version I'm after a hinge for my 205.

Can you check if it's got the bolted or pinned?

I have a pair of bolt on 205 hinges going spare as not suitable for my CTi (which has welded-on hinges); PM me if OP can't help. Note I'm in France, but presume distance not an issue if you're in Norway.
