Unknown Shims

Can anybody help identify these shim/washers.

After washing my head in the dishwasher, these were found in the filter.

 

I have no idea where or what these are,

Any ideas?

Probably the ones that sit between the valve springs and the head casting.

Depends How many valves you washed!????

Yes there should be 16 but they usually stick in place hence some people don't realise they're there.

Looks like I could be one of those people, I'll start checking in the head and bottom of the springs.
