Can You Run A Second Relay For The Fuel Pump After The Tachy Relay?

Recommended Posts

I want to improve the voltage going to the fuel pump. Should I

A. Run a second relay with a fresh 12v line to the pump, after the original tachy relay? This was the route I was going to take, but now having second thoughts.

or

B. Replace the in-car wire with a new thicker wire running from by the fuseboard to the fuel pump?

or

C. Replace the wiring from the tachy all the way back to the fuel pump? This is the option I'm considering now.

I'm not sure how a second relay would affect the performance/job of the tachy relay. Could it affect timing of the fuel supply somehow? Which would be the better option?

Thanks.
